These terms of use (“terms”) apply to any activity on the websites passports.govt.nz and dia.services.govt.nz (the “websites”). By viewing and using the websites, you will be deemed to agree to the terms. If you do not agree to the terms, you must not access or use the websites.

In these terms, we refer to the Department of Internal Affairs as “the Department” or “we”.

Changes

We may change the terms at any time by updating them. Unless stated otherwise, any change takes effect immediately. You are responsible for ensuring you are familiar with the latest terms. By continuing to access and use the websites, you agree to be bound by the changed terms.

We may change, suspend, discontinue, or restrict access to the websites without notice or liability.

Content accuracy

We try to make sure the information on the websites are true and up to date. However, we are not responsible for any incorrect or incomplete information.

The information on the websites does not replace or change New Zealand laws, other official guidelines or requirements.

Links from other sites

We welcome links to passports.govt.nz. However, links must not be presented in any context that implies that the websites have an association with your site or endorse your site or product. The Department’s logo may not be used on your site without the Department’s permission.

Pricing

All prices stated are in New Zealand dollars and include GST (goods and services tax).

Where applicable, cost for delivery will be charged separately.

Payment

Applications will not be processed until payment has been received by the Department.

Upon successful payment, the user will receive a confirmation of payment by email.

All card payment transactions will take place within a secure payment system provided by Windcave. Windcave is solely responsible for these transactions. You can find more information in their Privacy Policy.

Deleting saved applications

We reserve the right to delete unsubmitted applications and forms where necessary – for example, where the service is upgraded or modified. If we know in advance that deletion will need to occur, we will endeavor to post a notice on this website.
